Westfield Apartments
The Westfield Apartments in Shepherds Bush utilize a modern and efficient unitised system for the construction of the building. This system involves prefabricating large sections of the building off-site, and then assembling them on site like a puzzle.
This method of construction allows for faster and more efficient construction times, as well as a reduction in waste and cost. Additionally, it allows for greater accuracy and quality control during the construction process, as the sections are built in a controlled environment with a higher degree of precision.
The unitised system used in the construction of the Westfield Apartments involves the use of steel support brackets, aluminium spandrel panels and glass elements. The whole installation process was carried out from 3 cradles build to accomodate the facade and the glass elements have been lifted via electric minifor on a monorail.
